With Uconnect™, via its 5″ or 6.5″ touchscreen, you can manage all the multimedia devices present in the car: the analogue and digital radio (DAB) and the main supports (mediaplayer, iPod, iPhone, smartphone) connected via the USB port and Aux-in jack.

The new Uconnect™ LIVE system also allows customers – through integration with their smartphones – to use many apps on the on-board system so that they can always be in contact with their friends on Twitter; listen to 35 million music tracks on Deezer and over 100 thousand radio stations with Tune-In; get real-time news updates from Reuters and on the traffic, speed cameras and weather thanks to TomTom LIVE services.

And that is not all: you can improve your driving style with eco:Drive™, so you save on fuel and can check in real time your car’s CO2 emissions. And you can keep in step with your car with my:Car: reminds you where you’ve parked, informs you on fuel levels and any vehicle anomalies.

IT UNDERSTANDS YOU AT FIRST TOUCH

With the 5” colour touchscreen, interacting with your phone, smartphone, radio, media player and MP3 player while driving, is simpler and more intuitive than ever before. With Bluetooth® you can make calls without taking your hands off the wheel and manage any text messages received (providing you have a compatible smartphone). And to add zest to your journeys, the radio with CD player also includes the Digital Radio mode on request and can play outside sources via the USB and Aux-In ports. Plus the innovative Audio Streaming can reproduce musical tracks and web radios from your smartphone with no cables involved.

BECOME AN ECO:DRIVER

Do you want to learn how to cut fuel consumption and relative costs by up to 16%? Fiat 500L eco:Drive will teach you how. Every time you get behind the wheel, the application records your behaviour, displaying your eco: Index on the display of the Uconnect™ 5” Radio and provides you with real-time tips to help you correct mistakes and improve your style of driving. At the end of the training, you will be ready to enter the eco:Ville community and share your results on Facebook and Twitter.

THE TUNE HAS CHANGED

On your 500L you can listen to all the music you want: off your MP3 player, your smartphone, or a USB flash drive. And you can easily select it using the steering wheel controls. Moreover, its new premium hi-fi system developed in collaboration with Beats Audio exploits an advanced equalizer algorithm that creates a clean, high-definition sound. Through 6 speakers in the front and rear doors, 1 Subwoofer in the luggage compartment and an 8-channel digital amplifier, the new sound system can deliver a total power of 520 W.

IT KNOWS HOW TO LOOK AFTER YOUR FAMILY

The standard equipment ensures the highest levels of active and passive safety. Up to 7 airbags, ABS with B.A.S. (Brake Assist System) and the sophisticated ESC (Electronic Stability Control) which incorporates the ASR/MSR acceleration and deceleration anti-slipping function. Hill Holder to facilitate hill starts, DST active steering which improves driving safety and handling performance, as well as electronic rollover mitigation, ERM. And to make driving around in traffic safer there is the City Brake Control (available upon request), a device that detects the presence of other vehicles or obstacles and automatically brakes to avoid collision or mitigate its consequences.
